Donation Drive for Southside Animal Shelter

Over the holidays, Barkefellers participated in a donation drive to help the Southside Animal Shelter. We decided on this shelter because they are a no-kill shelter, so the animals could potentially spend a long time there before being adopted.

We were extremely impressed with how generous our customers were! Every day we were adding to our pile in the lobby. Some larger items even had to be placed in a back room. Among these donations were dog and cat food, cat litter, medicines, blankets, beds, cat towers, toys, leashes, collars, shampoo, cleaning products, flea treatments, and even many monetary donations. We had customers come in with their arms full of gently used or store bought items.

It's safe to say that we quickly outgrew our "donation box" and the entire lobby became our donation place.

Rick, the owner of Barkefellers, also agreed to match the donations with a check to Southside Animal Shelter.

This is something we plan on doing every year. Being a business that is so involved with animals, it's nice to help these less fortunate furbabies. Our entire staff was beaming with the overwhelming success this year!

Halloween Costume Winners

We all enjoyed the cute and creative costumes our guests showed off for our Halloween Costume Contest! Votes were so close that we awarded a Grand Prize and three Runners-Up! Thanks to everyone who participated in the fun!

We're already looking forward to the great costumes we'll see next year!

New Outdoor Play Area

We've expanded our Day Care Park again due to popular demand!

The addition of this 4th outdoor play area increases our already large Day Care Park and features our exclusive cushioned Astro-Turf play surface which is sanitized weekly.  We've planted trees to provide natural shade and added new playground equipment for maximum canine fun!

As always, Day Care at Barkefellers is supervised by our trained professionals who monitor all play to ensure the safety and enjoyment of each and every one of our guests.
